Wow 2018 is already off to a roaring start for me. It’s been a crazy couple of months with travel to Nashville, TN for Professional Photographers of America’s Imaging USA , then Knoxville TN to speak to Professional Photographers of Eastern Tennessee since I was in “their neck of the woods” , then to central coast of California for Professional Photographers of California Board of Directors Installation and Awards Banquet, and just this past week a trip to Detroit Michigan to judge and speak at the Professional Photographers of Michigan‘s PhotoMax Convention.

I recently had the opportunity to do a program for the Professional Photographers of California’s Pro Photo Expo, which is their state convention, on how I’m still using film in my day to day portrait work. Kodak Alaris was one of the sponsors of the convention and they were kind enough to send me 10 sheets of Tri-X 4×5 sheet film so that I could produce some portraits on the material for my presentation.

I had the privilege of photographing Tara and her kids, her sister Erica and her kids, and their mother last month. Tara and her mom came in last Friday to view the proofs and these were a few of their favorites. They picked one out for Erica, as she was visiting from out of town, but thought she would love the image of her son and daughter. I had a great time working with this family and I hope these bring many enjoyable memories for them for years to come.Thank you Tara for commissioning me to create these pictures for you and your family!
