I’m not sure when the studio portrait ran into having a bad rap, but I’m here to tell you they are alive and kicking with Pete Rezac Photography. The temperature is always perfect, it never rains, the winds are calm unless we turn on a fan. Essentially, environmentally speaking it’s the best possible situation!

Ah my favorite time of year is almost upon us. I saw my first katydid leaf bug this afternoon and took a picture of it. I showed the picture of it to a friend of ours who teaches High School Biology and she told me to mark it on the calendar as the sighting of a katydid means 30 days until our first frost. That in turn reminded me that the busiest time of year for me is almost here: Fall Family Portraits!

I was commissioned by Catherine and James earlier this month to create a series of family portraits of them and their two beautiful daughters. A few days before our session Catherine contacted me to let me know that their family had grown since our consultation with the addition of a new golden doodle puppy, and would it be possible to include him on a few frames as well. How was I suppose to say no to photographing a puppy? Especially when he gave me expressions like this?
